BURger king - social distancing crown
When COVID-19 broke out in Germany, the entire country went into lockdown, during which all store fronts were required to close, leaving only delivery and drive-in services.
As the restrictions began to ease, Burger King wanted to announce the reopening of their restaurants, and at the same time help customers keep a safe distance from each other.
A re-imagination of the King’s iconic crown, this idea aimed to add some humour to social distancing policies, and bring smiles to people at this stressful time.
We started with a simple post:
And the Internet loved it …
Overwhelmed with requests from all over the world, we gave people a DIY guide, so everyone can build the giant crown by themselves.
And build it they did.
Burger King of different countries around the globe embraced this idea. Some even turned it into a promotional activation for its own store reopening.
