However, most people don’t know this and still go for antibiotic solutions for sore throat when they have a cold, instead of using symptom treatments like Strepsils — which contributes to a much bigger issue in the modern society: antibiotic overuse.
Misusing antibiotics will only boost bacterium resistance. And when antibiotics stop working, a small scratch could suffice to kill.
In this 2019 awareness campaign, we warned about a future of overprotection and isolation, urging people to use antibiotics only when necessary.
This is Strepsil’s first attempt to stand for a cause. And looking from the hindsight, we made a “social distancing” campaign well before anyone could even predict the COVID-19 crisis.
